Hello church family!  Jim Newsom lead the kickoff meeting for setting up an outreach team at AGBC.  The focus is to share Christ by becoming involved in people’s lives.  The first session ended with brainstorming ideas such as feeding the hungry, impacting the lost at high schools, helping young mothers and offering Christian centered “life classes”.  These are just a few of the great ideas that were voiced.   

Now for the next part.  There will be 2 teams forming around a central idea.  The first team is a neighborhood impact.  This team goes and works within a neighborhood to help or make an impact.  The second is specialized.  This is a more narrow impact based on a particular need.  Both teams will be under the direction of Jim, but use their gifts differently to bring Christ’s word to our world. 

If you didn’t have a chance to attend the first meeting, do not fret.  The next meeting for the Neighborhood team is July 8^th.  The next meeting for the Specialized team is July 15^th.  Please pray for God’s direction in this effort.  Pray is the key to all things in His kingdom.  Even if you are not lead to this ministry, please cover it in your prayer.
